About
Elizabeth Luu, O.D., was born in Vietnam and emigrated to the United States when she was three years old. She grew up in San Diego, California, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego. She later went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Midwestern University, Arizona College of Optometry. She completed her clinical rotations at Native American Community Health Center, Edwards Air Force Base, and Malcolm Randall VA Optometry Clinic. Dr. Luu is a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and also a member of the California Optometric Association. She is glaucoma certified as well as board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease.
Dr. Luu has extensive experience in the care of laser vision correction patients. She conducts LASIK, PRK, refractive lens exchange, and cataract examinations for pre- and post-operative patients. She is excited to speak to patients about laser vision correction to help them achieve visual freedom.
When not practicing, Dr. Luu donates her time volunteering with the Lions Club, Tzu Chi, and Los Médicos Voladores to provide eye care to underserved areas all over the world. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, snorkeling, camping, and exploring the world with her husband.
