About

Carolyn Sakauye, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist  specializing in diseases and surgery of the cornea, anterior segment, and ocular surface. Her expertise makes her someone to whom colleagues go to for advice on their most perplexing and  challenging corneal cases.

Since 2011, Dr. Sakauye has been performing laser-assisted cataract surgery for premium lenses such as toric and multifocal IOLs.

Originally a farm girl from San Jose, Dr. Sakauye joined the Eye Medical Center in 1982 and is married to an emergency room physician.
