Congratulations to our 2020 Scholarship Winners!
And now for some good news! Three hardworking local students are the recipients of Eye Medical Center of Fresno’s annual scholarship award.
Maximus Gonzalez, Nicole Hooper, and Trenton Minks received their awards—$500 in funds as well as a gift bag with graduation gifts—in the EMC office ahead of the upcoming fall semester. The students chosen will each attend four-year universities, though they will attend different schools and study diverse disciplines.
A small gathering was held early in August (complete with masks and distancing) to celebrate the students’ achievements. It was a chance for them to meet the doctors who read through the applications and chose them for the awards, as well as get advice for the new school year.
The EMC scholarship is awarded annually to students living in Fresno County with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Although this year’s awards were impacted by COVID-19, the doctors and staff at EMC hope to continue the tradition of recognizing local students for their hard work, and rewarding their dreams.
