Fellowship Trained in Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Atif Collins joined EMC on August 1st, 2024 as the Oculoplastic specialist. A proud 4th generation Northern Californian, Dr. Collins was born in Oakland and raised near Sacramento. He graduated from UC Berkeley and spent most of his early life in the Bay Area and the Sacramento valley. After a research year at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Dr. Collins attended Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, the primary affiliate of the Cleveland Clinic hospitals. He completed the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholars Program at the National Eye Institute, studying ocular inflammation mechanisms.
Following his residency at Case Western Reserve University and fellowship at Ohio State University, Dr. Collins served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Plastic Surgery at Case Western for three years. He has been recognized on America’s Best Ophthalmologist list and completed the American Academy of Ophthalmology Leadership Development Program. Dr. Collins is a leader in the ASOPRS organization and consistently strives to improve patient care by providing world-class, up-to-date healthcare with natural results and a personal touch.
In his spare time, Dr. Collin’s enjoys international travel and outdoor activities with family and friends.
