About

Dr. Vyoma Shah provides comprehensive eye exams as well as problem-focused ocular disease examinations such as diabetic, glaucoma, and macular degeneration examinations. Her primary areas of emphasis are specialty contact lenses, dry eyes, and myopia control.

Dr. Shah has completed extensive clinical training through the University of California, Berkeley via her externships at Stanford Byers Eye Institute, San Francisco Veterans Administration Medical Center, and Alameda Health Systems in the Bay Area. She graduated from UC Berkeley School of Optometry as an honorary member of the distinguished Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society. Other than ocular disease and contact lenses, Dr. Shah has also had extensive training and experience with vision therapy for kids and adults. Other than clinical care, Dr. Shah has led and managed multiple research projects regarding myopia (nearsightedness) at the University of Calgary and diabetic retinopathy at Boston University.

She is licensed and certified by the California State Board of Optometry to treat and manage glaucoma. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, and Scleral Lens Education Society.

In her free time, Dr. Shah enjoys travelling, public speaking, podcasting, fashion, and spending time with loved ones. She is excited to serve the Central Valley for its eyecare needs.
